I remember the feeling of waiting for those words. Each time. Waiting for the space for those words. The I Love You. That final feeling of safety with someone you care for. I remember waiting for it. The sealing up of any unsurety between the two of you. And saying that it was okay to stay. Okay to build. To rest, or repair. Either way, to move forward together.
So, this is something I do every year that I thought I would share. The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn is one of my favorite places here and they host the Maker Faire every summer. The museum itself is home to an amazing automotive and industrial history all year round. My favorite exhibit is the freestanding recreation of a Las Vegas hotel room in the early 60’s! 😍 Greenfield Village is fun too, but it’s a little hot to walk around for street theater, and speeches about the Wright Brothers and butter churning. There isn’t any formula for any of this. Being special to someone. Making somebody happy. Finding a partnership. Finding… “finding”. Fitting into a partnership. You can’t find something you aren’t a part of yet. But you can find ways to make one work. If that’s what you want.

One of my favorite spots in Michigan. Christmas all year round (well, at least 361 days a year), I mean, come on! And why would I fight Christmas carols in the middle of summer? I wouldn’t, that’s why. Honestly, I’m exhausted but simply thrilled to have been able to act like a kid all week. Within reason, of course 🤔
